Your Waste Audit: Let the Savings Begin

Increased Efficiency
What are you wasting? Where does the waste come from? Who is generating the most waste?

We can show you the answers.

A Waste Diversion Plan will address the overall generation of waste materials at your facility. We look at every aspect of your business to devise plans to reduce your waste output, beginning with an intensive Waste Audit by one of our Waste Audit Specialists.

What we do:
  • Measure how much and what types of waste produced
  • Identify potentially recyclable wastes
  • Identify the real cost of waste to your staff in each department
  • Show ways you can cut down on waste
  • Calculate how recycling can reduce your costs of doing business

Recycling Made Simple
We go through your entire facility and make sure waste materials are sorted properly, that everything is adequate and placed properly for recycling and disposal, and we that visitors know where your sorting bins are located.

We offer seminars and instructional sessions at your location, plus tours of our own facilities so your group can see firsthand, the full effects of your recycling program.

Your New Recycling Program
  • Customized Recycling Program including customized: Waste Audits, Waste Reduction/Diversion Workplan
  • Trained custodial staff, tenants and students on recycling
  • Waste reduction seminars and PowerPoint presentations
  • Monthly Recycling Progress Reports
  • Company Green Teams - to monitor and review your recycling program
  • Booth Displays to highlight the program and engage others
  • Environmental Awards Preparation - Recycling Council of Ontario Waste Minimization Award and the Building Owners and Managers association (BOMA) Awards
  • Opportunities for savings and joint venture programs
  • Prepare monthly recycling progress reports
Training Materials

Training for all your facility's end-users and custodial staff is the key to maintaining a good diversion program.

A Turtle Island Waste Audit Specialist or Account Manager will visit your site and provide promotional and training materials so that everyone connected to, or visiting your site, is made aware of your new recycling program.

We'll also do occasional follow-up visits to ensure that proper procedures are being followed and the program remains on track.

Booth Displays

Booth Displays are typically set up at the start of a new recycling program, on environmental days, or as a way to promote the recycling program and for getting feedback.
