RECYCLING EDUCATION
What
Education has been one of the most neglected facets of recycling in the industry. It has been the policy of Turtle Island since its inception to offer education to our customers about their specific programs, industry changes, the materials they recycle and the reasons why these programs are in place.
Why
- Education brings awareness about the recycling program within a facility.
- Education offers an avenue to ask questions about the specifics of a program.
- Education infers that the corporation / organization places high priority on the program and that it should be viewed as significant within the corporate environment.
- Education will eliminate any speculation on the details regarding what materials go where
- Education offers a forum to ask related questions regarding the industry as a whole
- Education will enhance corporate participation, and can rejuvenate an existing program or initiate a positive start to a new recycling program
Where
This service is provided on site within a facility / corporate setting. Turtle Island also offers tours of our facility for groups and organizations to see the full effects of the materials generated and collected from their organization (s).
Turtle Island offers seminars and/or instructional sessions to all of their customers at no charge.
How
Current customers can call our office and arrange a representative to coordinate the seminar at a mutually convenient time. The sessions range on average approximately 20 minutes (give or take) and are complemented by handout material which provides a hard copy of the session, with other pertinent information specific to the corporation.
