Recycled Office Furniture

TORONTO, May 3rd, 2006 – Faced with the challenge of preparing a desk for our new reception area Turtle Island employees Peter Lambropoulos (Asset Manager, Purchaser) and Sam (Sam I Am) Hatzopoulos (Electrician), put together this beautiful work station from items received in our plant for recycling. The wood paneling is made from old doors, the top comes from recovered wood, the front facia is supported and decorated by discarded computer boards and if you look closely enough you will see empty bottles supporting the top panel. What inspired this? “Our front desk is the first thing people see when they enter our offices, I wanted the new desk to be representative of our abilities and what we do; innovative recycling strategies” says Peter. “People love this, and the accountants are happy because it didn’t cost anything” says Sam.
