Turtle Island Recycling is excited to announce its inclusion in the Municipal Hazardous and Special Waste (MHSW) program, which is a part of Stewardship Ontario’s waste diversion initiatives.  Turtle Island Recycling now has approval to transport and process (for the purpose of recycling) oil and antifreeze containers.  Traditionally, these plastic containers have not been included in ordinary recycling programs because of the hazardous nature of the chemicals and liquids.  Turtle Island Recycling will be helping Stewardship Ontario achieve their goal to recycling hazardous and special wastes.
