Turtle Island manages Toronto's downtown recycling centre for commingled drink containers. Over 20,000 tonnes of commingled drink containers will be received, sorted/processed, and shipped annually from this facility.

Turtle Island manages three major residential collection contracts for the city of Toronto.
Garbage and yard waste collection for the former City of York, which involves weekly collection from over 30,000 homes and businesses.
White goods (stoves, fridges, etc.) from residential neighbourhoods in Etobicoke, Scarborough, York.

Turtle Island collects office paper and cardboard from each of the city's 60 office buildings including both Old City Hall and Metro Hall.

In 2003 Turtle Island was awarded the waste-hauling contract for The Canadian National Exhibition grounds located on Toronto's waterfront.

In 2002 Turtle Island was awarded the waste-hauling contract for Ontario Place, a Provincially owned entertainment and leisure destination on Toronto's waterfront.
